CALL FOR PAPERS

2016 International Symposium on Turbo Codes & Iterative Information Processing

The 9th International Symposium on Turbo Codes & Iterative Information Processing will be held in Brest, France, September 5-9, 2016. The Symposium will be the opportunity to acquire a broad overview of the current status and advanced research in coding theory, information processing, and related hardware implementations.

Keynotes and invited talks will be given by leading researchers in the field (list of invited speakers). In addition to the regular oral and poster sessions, the technical program will include Special Sessions (Call for Special Sessions) on emerging topics of particular interest for the coding community. The 2016 edition of the Symposium will also feature a one-day 5G workshop with keynote talks and demos sessions that will address the latest advances towards the definition of the forthcoming 5G physical layer.

The Symposium will include regular papers for oral and poster sessions as well as invited papers. Accepted and presented papers/posters will appear in the Symposium proceedings as well as in IEEE Xplore.

Interested authors are invited to submit a full manuscript of up to 5 pages of theoretical or applied nature in the following areas (non-exhaustive list):

Coding-related topics

  • Turbo codes, LDPC codes, polar codes, spatially-coupled codes, non-binary codes
  • Coding and modulation
  • Coding for (distributed) storage applications
  • Coding for secrecy
  • Coding for optical communication
  • Coding for noisy hardware
  • Coding for network communication
  • Joint source channel-coding
  • Iterative detection and estimation
  • Digital and analog implementation
  • Emerging applications of coding and message-passing decoding
  • Coding, communication and life sciences

5G physical layer topics

  • Modulations and coding (including MTC traffic)
  • Low-latency and ultra-reliable communication
  • Device-to-Device communication and coordination
  • Massive MIMO transmitter/receiver designs
  • Coordinated multipoint systems

The deadline for paper submission is March 15, 2016.
