IEEE Signal Processing Society Summer School on
"3D and High Definition/High Contrast Video Processing Systems"
National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan
The past decade has witnessed how visual signals enrich people's lives through new electronics devices and advanced multimedia applications such as three-dimensional (3D) video, high definition (HD) video, or 3D virtual reality. The keys to push the progress of those applications are cutting-edge video signal processing and electronic technologies. At the same time, these technologies also face many challenges as heading towards new systems, new displays, and new devices.
This summer school is part of the newly launched Seasonal Schools in Signal Processing Program of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. The first IEEE Signal Processing Summer School aims to provide both an objective and clear overview and an in-depth analysis of the state-of-the-art research on "3D and High Definition/High Contrast Video Processing Systems." The lectures will be delivered by distinguished experts in the field, from both academia and industry. The school would like to provide graduate students, early stage researchers and practitioners a platform to interact with international and local researchers on state-of-the-art researches.
