For this role we are looking for a project manager who will pilot the implementation of advanced visualization solutions needed for viewing internal eye structures for robotic surgery. You task will be to work hand-in-hand with our engineering team, external design consultants and sub-contractors to drive the development of advanced imaging solutions.

We are a fast-growing start-up in surgical robotics with a mission to help surgeons better treat patients and improve the lives of a large number of people affected by debilitating disease. We are looking for a highly motivated person, that shares our values, to join us.

For this role we are looking for a project manager who will pilot the implementation of advanced visualization solutions needed for viewing internal eye structures for robotic surgery. You task will be to work hand-in-hand with our engineering team, external design consultants and sub-contractors to drive the development of advanced imaging solutions.

To assure your mission you have a strong technical background that allows you to lead technical development in the areas of image processing, medical imaging (using various modalities) and optics. You will also bring the know-how and drive to effectively pilot a project through all its stages from conception to commercialization.

 

Your missions

  • Interact with potential users and other stakeholders to identify and refine the requirements for a given product feature.
  • Understand the state-of-the art in medical imaging and propose realistic solutions that correspond to the stated need
  • Together with various stakeholders, establish the technical specifications and identify and contractualize the resources needed for implementation
  • Drive the implementation of the projects, both by participating directly in the technical implementation and making use of external resources (subcontractors, design partners, component suppliers, etc) where appropriate.
  • Participate in the redaction of technical dossiers for the obtention of public and private financing.
  • Write the technical documentation necessary for medical certification of the device
  • Participate in the verification and validation activities on the robotic device

 

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a rigorous and organized work ethic and the ability to learn quickly and solve problems effectively and pragmatically. The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • MS engineering degree in digital image processing or a related subject.
  • 5+ years engineering experience in image processing, algorithms, optics and/or imaging
  • 2+ years in project management with a small team
  • Ideally, previous experience working with medical device systems certified under CE mark and FDA
  • Enthusiasm and a strong desire to improve surgical technology to improve the life of patients
  • A proactive personality with the ability to integrate with the existing start-up team.
  • Ability to listen and be a team player. Able to learn and adapt quickly to a rapidly evolving work environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and ideally French and the ability to communicate with international actors
