Metaheuristics - continuous optimization at LISSI Lab -SIMO Team

UPEC - LISSI Lab has a new permanent (tenure) faculty position (Associate Professor/ “Maître de conférences”) in the area of **metaheuristics and continuous optimization**. Applicants from the following sub-research areas are welcome:
Machine Learning and computer vision
Reinforcement Learning

Teaching activity
The candidate will have to teach in License SPI and in Master OIVM (M1 and M2) mainly in:
- Databases and Advanced Databases
- Design and Analysis of Algorithms.
- Object-oriented programming.
- Stochastic optimization and metaheuristics
Research activity :
The research developed at LISSI is within the Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies (STIC) domain, and is theoretical, applied and multidisciplinary. Developed within four groups, they are centered around the following themes:
1. SIMO team: Optimization, metaheuristics, deep learning and computer vision.
2. SYNAPSE team: bio-inspired artificial perception of the environment and hidden biometrics;
3. SIRIUS team: assistance robotics and ambient intelligence;
4. CIR team: adaptive control of communication systems.
LISSI-SIMO wishes to recruit a lecturer with very good scientific expertise in optimization and metaheuristics (Fractal decomposition, DE, PSO, GA, etc.). The targeted applications mainly concern the analysis of images and videos. The candidate must have demonstrated relevant and original contributions to research in aforementioned fields, having demonstrated both mathematical skills and a strong interest in applications.
The candidate will also be responsible for developing cross-cutting research between the thematic groups of the laboratory around technologies for health and the environment. It will contribute to strengthening existing partnerships with academic institutions. He will also participate in setting up and carrying out national and international research projects by contributing to the influence of the laboratory.
