About AWT Lab: Huawei Advanced Wireless Technology Lab, Paris, has been settled in 2014. After having participated to 5G standardization, AWT Lab is now doing research on 6G in the areas of applied mathematics and algorithms. Advanced new research topics as well as more traditional ones are being done in our Lab. MIMO, massive access, Integrated Sensing and Communication, distributed learning, semantic information and communication, low-complexity neural networks are at the heart of AWT Lab. We offer a very challenging environment with top researchers.

 

About the position

The position of Research Engineer is aimed at developing key physical-layer designs and algorithmic solutions for wireless communications. This will include the development of new algorithms and theoretical foundations of machine learning aided communications systems, as well as the implementation of the developed solutions for numerical evaluation and validation.

 

Required skills and qualities:

• Strong knowledge in machine learning;
• Advanced level in some of the following areas: information and signal processing theory, coding theory, physical layer algorithm design;
• Specialization in self-supervised learning would be a plus;
• Familiarity with programming in Python;
• Solid mathematical background and analytical reasoning;
• Agile, problem solving, teamwork spirit;

 

Required qualification

• PhD degree in a related field.
